Chorus 2016-1
Here's what we sound like:
I'm Always Chasing Rainbows (2001 District Contest)

The Lima Beane Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (aka, “The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, Inc." or S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.) was organized in August 7, 1948 to perform four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style.  The chapter is proud of the accomplishments of the chorus over the years, from traveling to Europe in 1974, and the Ameriflora Festival in Columbus, to our many local annual performances. These include such venues as local churches, the Square Fair/Lima Bean Festival, Johnny Appleseed Festival, and the many county fairs in the area. The chorus also presents its annual Night of Harmony every March or April at Lima Senior High School in Lima, Ohio.  We have brought in many of the nation’s top quartets to Lima from the BUFALLO BILLS, of Broadway musical fame, to the current international champions. The chorus is open to males of all ages, nine to ninety-nine, who enjoy barbershop harmony. Musical experience or training is not required, and many educational opportunities are available through the Barbershop Harmony Society. We are a nonprofit organization with a charitable mission to “preserve our musical legacy through support of vocal music education in our schools and communities.” The Lima Beane Chorus is proud of our past record and pledges to further our vocal music service in the community through our exclusive style of Barbershop Harmony. It is our firm belief that a singing heart is a happy heart. That being the case, we pledge to Keep The Whole World Singing, welcoming any and all--young or old--to join us in this in this wonderful expression of song. We guarantee that you will have a great time.
